Abstract

The misuse of the concepts ‘management information systems’ (MIS) and ‘IT management’ leads to a semantic misunderstanding, suggesting that both terms refer to the same idea. However, there is a clear distinction and a form of complementary between them. In this article, we will dispel this persistent confusion and demonstrate the complementary relationship between these two concepts.
