Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Research Articles
Original, unpublished research studies that contribute significantly to the field of mathematics and computer science education. Submissions should present rigorous methodology, clear results, and evidence-based conclusions. Peer-reviewed.
Review Articles
Submissions should provide comprehensive overviews of recent advances and current trends in mathematics and computer science education. Reviews must be critical and exhaustive, offering insights into the future direction of research. Peer-reviewed.
Case Studies
Detailed examination of specific instances of innovative teaching practices, educational program implementations, or unique learning environments. Submissions should reflect on the implications for broader educational practice. Peer-reviewed.
Special Issues
Curated collections focusing on specific themes or timely topics in mathematics and computer science education. Guest editors often manage these sections. Contributions may vary in type but must align with the issue's theme. Peer-reviewed.
Book Reviews
Critical evaluations of recent books relevant to mathematics and computer science education. Reviews should highlight the book's contribution to the field and may suggest areas for further exploration. Invitation or editor-approved submissions.
Letters to the Editor
Space for readers to engage with the journal's content, offering comments on published articles or raising issues of interest. Letters should be concise and contribute constructively to the discourse. Editor-reviewed.
Short Communications
Brief reports of preliminary results, innovative teaching strategies, or unique case findings in mathematics and computer science education. Ideal for sharing timely research findings or educational insights that may not yet warrant a full article. Limited to 2000 words. Peer-reviewed.
Commentary
Expert opinions or analyses on emerging trends, policy developments, or significant advancements in the field of mathematics and computer science education. Encourages thought leadership and scholarly debate. Submissions should be well-founded and provide a clear viewpoint. Limited to 1500 words. Editor-reviewed.
Technical Reports
Detailed accounts of project outcomes, experimental results, or the development of new methodologies in the domains of mathematics and computer science education. Emphasis on practical application and implications for the field. Peer-reviewed.
Interviews
Summaries of workshops, seminars, and other educational events relevant to mathematics and computer science education. Should capture key content, discussions, and outcomes, providing value to those unable to attend. Editor-reviewed.
